Vodafone is in full shape. The successful mobile network wants to grab a maximum of market share due to which it tied up with Hutchison Telecoms Australia last year and launched several plans last November to gain maximum market share. The plans were showing signs of aggressive marketing to break through customers from other competitive networks like Optus and Telstra. With the same motive they also launched an Infinite plan which allowed customers to make unlimited calls and also gave them unlimited text messages at just $45 a month. Now to expand its mobile network, Vodafone Hutchison Austalia (VHA)plans to invest over $550million for up gradations this year. They are currenly the third largest in the country and this expansion should add to their success. This led to several network cuts and reception lost and Vodafone is already facing a law suit against them from customers who faced this issue.

Hopefully this upgrade will give those customers a relief from all the network cuts. VHA looks at installing over 2500 base station to resolve the issue and give their customers a better service. The law suit has also brought up a website names www.vodafail.com where customers can register their complaints against Vodafone. But Vodafone now promises that their busy with their upgradation and will definitely resolve all the customers complaints.

After the tie up with Hutchison, VHA has also spent %550m for up gradations and now plans to spend another $550m for 1500sites on 850Mhz, 1400 sites for its 3G network and 500 new regional sites. This hopefully will resolve the issue and customers will get a better network with low network falls and higher reception.
